SMC seeks to share of the love and message of Jesus in practical and tangible ways to individuals affected by natural disasters.  We serve with other ministry partners and churches to assist with mud-outs, debris removal, collecting and distributing supplies/food items, and contributing financially when able. This team serves on an as needed basis.

Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts

Two weeks ago Hurricane Dorian—a Category 5 storm at the time—devastated the Bahamas, destroying buildings, damaging infrastructure, and taking lives. SMC is committed to praying for and helping provide relief to The Bahamas in the midst of a daunting recovery process.

Due to the level of destruction, it’s difficult at this time to get teams physically into The Bahamas at this time, so SMC is focusing our relief efforts on providing funds to support Samaritan’s Purse, which is already in The Bahamas providing relief.
